We had such a wonderful experience at Domaine de la Rivière. Marla and Geoff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and passionate about wine, food, and life. You can feel how much they care about every detail. We're very particular about the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay we enjoy — and they absolutely delivered. The wines were elegant, balanced, and memorable. One of the highlights was hearing their story, touring the property, and pairing the wines with fresh pizza and lettuce picked straight from their garden. It felt authentic, personal, and special — not commercial. We joined the wine club and are so glad we did. Highly recommend if you appreciate exceptional wine and genuinely kind people.

We were in Sebastopol for a wedding this past weekend. We gave ourselves a few extra days for wine tastings. The wine that got our attention was Domaine de la Riviere pinot noir. It's my favorite. My wife loved it but she also a fan of the Rose. I'm not a wine connoisseur but even a novice like myself can taste the difference. Quality!! Vineyard Eleven 10/10

After forty years of collecting and doing more tastings than I can remember, Domaine de la Rivière stands out as one of my best experiences. Their Pinots and Chardonnays are exceptional, and Marla and Geoff bring a genuine passion to everything they do — from walking you through their process to being wonderful hosts. We really enjoyed the experience and to top it off they even went out of their way to return a hat I left at their home.

Our trip to Healdsburg would not have been the same if we had not met Marla and Geoff, owners of Domaine de la Riviere. We met friends in Healdsburg to celebrate turning 40 and Marla was the first winery we reached out to. As fate would have it, she quickly understood what we were looking for and helped plan the rest of our trip. She went above and beyond to make sure our trip was as enjoyable as it could be. In addition, her wines are incredible! I am in awe of the high quality her and Geoff have gotten out of their relatively new operation. I cannot wait to continue the relationship with both and see their wines continue to grow and develop. Domaine de la Riviere is a must -- great wines, great people. My wife and I visited their Tasting Room in Windsor and had a great experience with Zak. Our tasting included 2 Chardonnays and 2 Pinots. We're typically not fans of California Chardonnay, as they are either too oaky or too buttery. We tasted the 2021 Next Door Neighbor and it felt like we were drinking a Chablis. We loved it. The other standout was the 2021 Middle Reach Pinot. I told Zak it tasted exactly how an RRV pinot should. It's the best complement I can give a wine. The other two wines we tasted were also excellent and represented the area wonderfully. We've been drinking wine from this region for 20+ years and are a tough crowd to please. Zak and Domaine de la Riviere just gained two big fans. Do yourself a favor and visit them!

Domaine de la Riviere is an absolute gem! A total 5-star experience for us. From the moment Zak welcomed us at their Windsor facility, we felt like guests of a family rather than visitors at a tasting room. The hospitality was warm, unhurried, and knowledgeable, with thoughtful stories about getting their start in the Russian River Valley and their approach to winemaking. The wines themselves are stunning – we tried two Chardonnays and two Pinot Noirs, each were balanced, expressive, and in a style we love. We left really excited to keep exploring more of their labels! In fact, my husband and I joined the wine club on the spot, bought a few bottles to bring home, and we're already looking forward to sharing them with friends. If you enjoy great, quality wine and appreciate good hospitality, Domaine de la Riviere should be at the very top of your Sonoma/Russian River list. Thank you for a great experience Zak!!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our tasting experience, which was very unique compared to other tastings we've had. Owner Marla Bedrosian met us at Grand Cru in the Beverage District, showed us around the shared facility and explained her family's winery process. She regaled us with great stories about both her journey into the wine business and the stories behind the wines we tasted. She had helpful insights into what we were tasting, and how environmental factors can impact the wines. She further helped us figure out the best shipping options to transport the bottles we bought back to San Diego. The Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs lived up to their Wine Enthusiast promise, and the lingering flavors of each sip encourages you to slow down and enjoy these wines. I was delighted to learn that Domaine de la Rivière works with the prestigious Hotel del Coronado, so a wine good enough for the 'Hotel Del' will be elevating my next dinner party!

I told myself I'll write a review a while ago and finally got time to write it now. Marla from the get-go is easy to talk to, educated us their history and the different types of clones they had, AND accommodated us in for a wine tasting despite having an event to host soon after. We've been drinking pinot noirs for a while and have wanted to find a local winery that grows pinot noirs grapes to satisfy our taste buds. Easy to drink, can easily pair with many types of food from cheese to seafood, to meat dishes. Good tannin, good amount of body (not too much), not too acidic/dry. This one by far takes the cake for us. We bought 6 bottles after our tasting and we're completely out of it now. Marla, we should have bought more!

Living in the Russian River Valley myself, I have had the luxury of tasting a wide range of storied local wines and vintages - Domaine de la Riviera holds its own among these wines. Marla and Geoff started their journey into wines with a singular goal of making superior Russian River Valley wine from carefully selected clones and superior fruit. They have, over the years, maintained a consistent level of quality in each of their wines, be it their Rose, Chardonnay or Pinot noir offerings. They are warm and fun proprietors who put their heart and soul into every aspect of their vineyards, winery and customer experience. I have had the pleasure of getting to know them over many a bottle of delicious Domaine de la Riviera. Definitely a label to experience and collect!

5 stars just isn't enough! I cannot say enough great things about our tasting experience with Marla & Domaine de la Rivière. Her passion and true love for what they do comes out in every word as she takes you through her and her husband's journey with the vineyard. The tasting was so personal, intimate and informative. You didn't feel like you were just a random visitor, she made you feel like part of their family. The wine was absolutely amazing as well. They completely changed my mind about Chardonnays. If you are coming to California wine country for a visit, Domaine de la Rivière is a must! Truly one of my most favorite wine tasting experiences.

Marla and Geoff actually came to us at our VRBO rental in Healdsburg. What a treat! Prior to this visit being organized, Marla patiently put up with my endless questions about which wines we should choose to go with our planned meal, the timing, how their chards compared with 'typical' California Chardonnay, and on and on. The evening of their visit was perfect! It was a mild night so the house stood open, and Marla and Geoff spent an hour with us (at least), talking about their vineyard's history, their own history, their wine-making processes, and then introducing us to the wines they'd brought — superb and varied! We had Next Door Neighbor Chardonnay, Flora Marie Chardonnay, Middle Reach Pinot Noir, and Two Forces Pinot Noir. An absolutely outstanding experience! Can't recommend this vineyard, these wines, and the interaction with Marla and Geoff enough.

Domaine de la Rivière is, in a word, delightful. I really don't know what I enjoyed most about the place, the wines or the experience. I may lean toward the experience, as it was one I will never forget. I hope when you go there you get to experience their wines with Marla. I was told she was a Peach, and she is exactly that, a bright, sweet, wonderful Peach. All of that said, the wines that I tried were fantastic. I don't have my tasting notes in front of me while I write this, so I am going to leave out specific vintages and titles, but when I was there I had a Rose, a Chardonnay and 2 Pinots. The Chardonnay was everything I want out of that style. With the wine world wanting to make cleaner, lighter and bright Chardonnays, I find them often offering me nothing that I can't get from a Sauvignon Blanc. This Chard was very bright, but still had body, it was exactly what I look for in this varietal. The Pinots followed a similar trend, in that the wine world seems to want to go lighter and lighter with this varietal, and both Domaine de la Rivière Pinots I tried were delicious, complex wines with body, while still clearly being Pinots. I also had a Rosè that I didn't love, but I think a bit of time on that wine will do it wonders. Overall, just a wonderful time. I can't wait to drink the wines I got there and will for sure be back the next time I am on the area.

By far the best winery and hospitality experience in Sonoma County. Marla, Geoff, and Zak made me feel like family by the end of my Domaine de la Riviere visit. The Pinot Noir 2019 varietal was the best Pinot I've ever tasted, smooth and silky, with notes of plum and blackberry... what more could you ask for? All of the varietals were quite delectable. I highly recommend pairing the Chardonnay with a grilled chicken caesar salad and the Pinot with a burger or dark chocolate cake. I cannot wait to make my way back to Sonoma and visit Domaine de La Riviere.

Sonoma offers many interesting experiences and this is certainly one of them. A boutique vineyard with a tasting room that tastefully combines classic and modern. Every wine we tried was unique. This is a vineyard that takes care of every detail, from cultivation to final consumption. This is not only evident in every glass you try but also by listening to Marla who is in charge of the business in the commercial part. She is charming and tells you with great passion everything they do. I loved this visit

I had the opportunity to meet Marla and Geoffrey at their estate. What an incredible experience my friends and I had. Marla had prepared a memorable spread straight from her garden. We started with the rose (so fresh and crisp), then chardonnay (smooth and buttery) and lastly pinot noir (just wow). Nice tasting room experience. Liked the demo on how rosa wine gets it's color. Tasting the grapes 🍇 and checking the color of the seeds was a informative. The tour of the distillery process was very interesting. Would visit this winery again.

What wonderful wine and service! Marla offered to bring the tasting to our home, which was a relaxing way to start two days of wine tasting. You can taste the care they have for their vineyards in the wine, and the rose and chardonnay were our favorites, with the pinot noir a very close second. When Marla hand delivered our wine order the following day, she also brought us cutlery that our rental home was lacking. Highly recommend booking a visit when in the area.

Our tasting of Domaine de la Riviere wines with Marla was really fun, and I recommend you give their wines a try. They have multiple different excellent wines, though my favorite is the super easy to drink Pinot Noir which I think I will be drinking a lot more of in the future! Marla even had a nice pizza ready for my wife and I when we arrived for our tasting. Give Domaine de la Rivière a try!!!

We did a tasting with Marla on our recent trip to Healdsburg and it was the highlight of our trip! We had our 3 mo son in tow, and Marla was so wonderful with him. The wine was delicious, and the story of creation of Domaine de la Riviere was really fun to hear and learn about. We also enjoyed that the tasting took place at Grand Cru, which is a collective/co-op space where smaller wineries can make their wine and do their tastings. (Note that it's different than the address on Google!! Marla tells you this in the confirmation, but we didn't pay attention.) We loved the wine and experience so much that we became members and cannot wait for our first shipment to arrive this week!

I recently hosted a group on a tour and tasting at Domaine de la Rivière. Owner Marla Bedrosian shared the origins of the winery, gave us a tour of the production facility, and treated us to a delicious tasting including my favorite, the 2021 Shoshana Rose of Pinot Noir. We'll worth a visit.
