How We Got Here
Our family's love of wine began far from the vineyard — in New York, where frequent trips to California wine country turned a shared curiosity into a genuine passion.
In 2011, we purchased a small Pinot Noir vineyard in the Middle Reach neighborhood of the Russian River Valley and, still living on the East Coast, became instant grape growers. For several years we sold our fruit to respected producers while we learned the site season by season.
A major replant of our estate, Vineyard eleven, followed and as the young vines came into their own we realized we were farming a world-class piece of ground. In 2017, we decided to start making our own wine.
Our goal has always been to craft world-class wines that are enjoyable today and even better in the future.
A narrow, singular corridor
The Middle Reach is a slender stretch of land running north to south along the banks of the Russian River, between southern Healdsburg and Forestville. Its daily rhythm of fog and sun yields a long, balanced growing season — and wines of rich, velvety fruit and quiet structure.
